
Teiko is an experienced fine art photographer and print restorer. She has extensive experience working with handcrafted photo processes and techniques utilizing Gelatin-Silver and Platinum-Palladium. She also has experience in a wide range of digital image techniques.
In Japan, Teiko grew up in a family environment that placed great importance on the aesthetic and the artful. She was trained in classical piano and studied traditional Japanese flower arrangement, calligraphy, and Haiku.
Since 2001 she has lived and worked in Manhattan. She studied at the International Center of Photography, where she practiced and worked with many well-known and respected photographers and photographic technicians.
Teiko’s work has been exhibited
in the United States and abroad in France and Japan, and
she has pieces included in the permanent
collection at The Biblioteque Nationale de France in Paris.
